to use Synvisc: Follow the directions
for using Synvisc provided by your doctor. Synvisc
is usually administered as an injection at your
doctor's office, hospital, or clinic. Synvisc
comes with a patient information leaflet. Read
it carefully. Ask your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist
any questions that you may have about this medicine.
STORE THIS MEDICINE below 86 degrees F (30 degrees
C) in the original packaging, away from light.
DO NOT FREEZE. Do not miss your doctor appointments
while taking this medicine. If you must miss an
appointment, notify your doctor as soon as possible.

Cautions: IT MAY TAKE SEVERAL
INJECTIONS for Synvisc to work fully. Complete
the full treatment course, even if you are
already feeling better. KEEP ALL DOCTOR APPOINTMENTS
while you are using this medicine. AVOID
USING certain skin disinfectants (containing
ammonium salts). FOR WOMEN: IF YOU PLAN ON
BECOMING PREGNANT, discuss with your doctor
the benefits and risks of using this medicine
during pregnancy. IT IS UNKNOWN IF THIS MEDICINE
IS EXCRETED in breast milk. IF YOU ARE OR
WILL BE BREAST-FEEDING while you are using
this medicine, check with your doctor or
pharmacist to
discuss the risks to your baby.
Synvisc
Side Effects: A
SIDE EFFECT that may occur while taking Synvisc
is temporary pain or swelling of the injected
joint. If it continues or is bothersome,
check with your doctor. CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR
AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience persistent
pain, redness, or swelling at the injection
site; fever; rash; bruising; hemorrhoids;
sweating; nausea; calf cramping; ankle swelling;
muscle pain; or rapid heartbeat. If you notice
other effects not listed above, contact your
doctor, nurse, or pharmacist. |
